The site does not publish a timetable, so check the flight search before departure to see which days and how often the flight operates.<\/p>\n<p>According to Ryanair&#8217;s official website, Ryanair also operates a direct flight between Budapest and Alicante, and the flights listed on the site have a journey time of 3 hours 5 minutes. Flights and prices vary by season, so it is worth checking Ryanair&#8217;s flight search before you travel as well.<\/p>\n<h2>From the airport to Torrevieja<\/h2>\n<p>The nearest airport to Torrevieja is Alicante-Elche Miguel Hern\u00e1ndez Airport, from which the town can be reached in about 40 minutes by car. A direct bus connects the airport with Torrevieja, and taxis and car rental are available at the terminal. The road distance between Alicante and Torrevieja is 50 km.<\/p>\n<p>Murcia International Airport is also about 40 minutes from Torrevieja. There are several boarding points in Budapest, and the coach arrives at the bus station in Alicante. It is not the fastest way, but if you have the time and prefer not to fly, it is an option. Always check departure times and changes on the FlixBus website before booking.<\/p>\n<p>Booking and timetables: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.flixbus.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">FlixBus<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>By train<\/h2>\n<p>Torrevieja has no railway station. The nearest stations are in Alicante (50 km) and Orihuela (30 km), from where a long-distance bus continues to the town several times a day. Regular services depart from the town&#8217;s bus station towards Alicante, Murcia, Elche and Cartagena.<\/p>\n<h2>With your own car, by ferry<\/h2>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.horvatingatlanok.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/11\/qingkai-zhang-unsplash-fltzf6laub4.jpg\" alt=\"Ferry deck at sunset, taking your car by ferry from Italy to Barcelona\" style=\"max-width:100%;height:auto\" loading=\"lazy\" \/><figcaption>Photo: Qingkai Zhang \/ Unsplash<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>If you would rather not drive the whole way in your own car, you can take a ferry from an Italian port. According to a Ferryhopper overview, ferries run from Genoa and from Civitavecchia to Barcelona, and cars can be taken on them. The operators are GNV and Grimaldi Lines. The Civitavecchia\u2013Barcelona crossing generally takes between 18 and 25 hours.
