There are apartments where the sea is not a distant view but lies directly in front of the terrace. This 55 m² one-bedroom apartment is on the front line of Playa del Acequión in Torrevieja: the 15 m² terrace offers a full frontal sea view.
The property is a resale and the interior can be adapted to the buyer’s taste, so the apartment can genuinely be shaped into a home of your own. Asking price: EUR 175,000.
Torrevieja, where the apartment is located
Torrevieja is a coastal town in the southern Costa Blanca, in the province of Alicante. The Spanish national tourism portal describes it as a place whose life revolves around the sea and salt: the town is surrounded by two large salt lakes, La Mata and the Torrevieja lagoon, which together form the Lagunas de La Mata y Torrevieja nature park.

The Torrevieja lagoon is turned pink by its high salt concentration and the microorganisms living in it. The „pink lagoon” is one of the town’s emblems today, and salt production has been part of its history for centuries: the town itself grew into the administrative centre of salt mining at the beginning of the 19th century.
Playa del Acequión is a sandy beach close to the town centre and the harbour, next to the marina and the seafront promenade; the greenway (Vía Verde) leading to the salt lakes also starts here.
Legal points for foreign buyers
As an EU citizen you may buy property in Spain freely. As a foreign buyer you need one compulsory identifier: the NIE (Número de Identidad de Extranjero). According to the Spanish Ministry of the Interior this is the personal, unique identification number for foreign nationals, and it appears on every official document handled in Spain, including the deed of sale and tax returns. It can be applied for at the immigration offices in Spain, or from abroad at the Spanish consulate for your place of residence.
The sale is completed by a public deed (escritura) signed before a notary, which is then entered in the Land Registry (Registro de la Propiedad).
When buying a resale property in the Valencian Community — which includes Torrevieja — the transfer tax (ITP) is generally 9% from 1 June 2026, and 11% where the property value exceeds one million euros (source: the Valencian tax authority, atv.gva.es).
We recommend that every buyer has the contract reviewed by a local lawyer before signing and uses a legal interpreter at the meetings. We accompany the process from the first enquiry to the handover of the keys, together with the local partner office.
